IT placement at Trichy Tamil nadu

Anna university's intiative to conduct campus interview all over tamil nadu and recruit candidates into companies has come to trichy. At J J college of Engineering and Technology, 2084 candidates took the written test, 192 went for the final interview and 152 got selected before they completed their degree. Annual package is Rs. 2.75 lakhs - not bad for a starter in Infosys Technologies.

Shivaji Ganesan does it again


Tamil nadu chief minister Mr. M. Karunanithi unveils the statue of Late Sivaji Ganesan, a tamil actor who caught the imagination and the dreams of millions of tamil people around the world with his amazing acting talent (sometimes called for over acting). The statue was unveiled amid intense opposition through petitions in court. The shining bronze statue was unveiled on the beach road. Film stars & politicians graced the occassion. Mr. Karunanith ecalled his old time association with his friend - the late actor. Sivaj Ganesan acted in Parasakthi, his first movie that brought him into the limelight. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mr. M. karunanithi.

Another statue in the beach road ! Sivaji selai kitta (near sivaji statue)- the phrase will become common now. A landmark too.

"Kattipudi vaithiyam" (Hugging Therapy) works in Madurai Tamil Nadu

Mr. Krishnan, Akshaya Trust, is an excellent human being who volunteers to do something that many detest. Mr. Krishnan from Madurai, Tamilnadu feeds neary 100 lunatics abandoned in the streets of Maduai everyday. Not only feeding, cuts their hair, gives them a clean shave every now and then. More than that he gives them a big hug too. This hugging therapy has already cured one person who is working with him as the trust's volunteer.

A true Tamil human being.

Tamilnadu Government hammering out New IT POlicy

At Summit 2006, an annual HR event organised by NASSCOM in Chennai, IT department secretary said the new IT policy would take into confidence the industry fully. Accordning to him, satellite towns with excellent infrastructure and connected by high speed transportation is the major plan of the New IT policy.

VAT in Tamil nadu

The tamil nadu taxes minister, S.N.M. Ubayathullah hinted that VAT would be implemented in the coming budget session.

Small traders have problems with VAT implementation. But overall it could bring uniform taxation in India.

Vanigar sangangalin peravai opposes VAT.

Minister Cautions (who?) : Maharashtra's revenue came down from 19000 crore to 15000 crore after Vat implementation.
